ANU Software Engineering Partnership
ANU TechLauncher Program 2026
In March 2026, Neylo was selected for a software engineering partnership with the Australian National University
Five computer engineering students joined us: Chelsea, Xiwen, Jinwoo, Harshit and Shiyu. They work under our CTO, Isaiah Monteleone, across Neylo's frontend, backend and the intelligence layer being built into the platform.
Part of that work is the AI highlight generator, turning full-length grassroots sport match footage into short, athlete-specific reels automatically, using computer vision. Player detection, tracking across occlusion, event recognition, and clip assembly, all running over video uploaded from suburban sidelines on phones.
The same computer vision output feeds our athlete ranking, which scores players on what the footage actually shows rather than on follower counts. A separate moderation layer is being built alongside it, because a platform hosting sixteen-year-olds carries a responsibility for trust and safety.

Locally Sourced Artists
Independent Australian Artists
Neylo has commissioned a team of independent Canberra-based artists to create original artworks inside the platform.
Each artist works in their own medium and their own style, the same way every athlete plays with their own.
So much of Neylo is built on connection, and connection has to feel human. The human spark is easy to lose as AI design, vibe coding and mass production become the default, so we went the other way. The aesthetic and "feeling" of the app needed to feel vibrant and unique.
We also commissioned multiple artists on purpose. No single artist dictated the look, and the creative freedom we gave each of them is why no two sports look alike.
We're an innovative Canberran company and we wanted to back other innovative Canberran artists. Each sport carries its own commissioned unique art-piece, shown as you choose your sport during onboarding.
