Neylo Waitlist Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy is issued by Neylo Pty Ltd (ACN [693 822 687], ABN [70 693 822 687]) ("Neylo", "we", "us", "our"). Neylo is an Australian company building a talent discovery platform that connects athletes with scouts, clubs and talent agents.
We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the Neylo waitlist, available through our website at neylo.com.au. It explains what personal information we collect when you join the waitlist, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.
The Neylo platform has not yet launched. When it does, we will publish an updated privacy policy covering the platform and notify you of the change. Until then, this policy governs all personal information collected through the waitlist.
3. Personal information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the information you provide through our signup form. Depending on your answers, this includes:
Your full name
Your email address
Your phone number
Which category best describes you (for example athlete, scout, club or talent agent, or fan)
Your age range
The Neylo features you are interested in
How you heard about Neylo
If you indicate that you are aged 10 to 15, your confirmation that you have the consent of a parent or guardian to join the waitlist
We collect this information directly from you, and only the information you choose to submit. We do not collect information about you from other sources, and we do not use cookies, analytics tools or advertising pixels on our waitlist or website.
4. Why we collect your information and how we use it
We collect and use your personal information to:
Add you to the Neylo waitlist and manage it
Send you email updates about Neylo, including news about our progress and launch
Contact you by phone or SMS about Neylo and its launch, where you have provided a phone number
Understand the makeup of our waitlist (for example, the balance of athletes and scouts, sports of interest, and age ranges) so we can build a better product
Group waitlist members into relevant segments (for example, athletes separately from scouts and clubs) so the updates we send are relevant to you
Invite you to join the Neylo platform when it launches, and use the details you provided to set up or streamline the creation of your account, should you choose to join
We will not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to the above without telling you first.
5. Children and young people
Neylo is being built with young athletes in mind, and we welcome interest from people under 16.
If a person indicates on our signup form that they are aged 10 to 15, they are required to confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of, and consents to, their joining the waitlist before the form can be submitted. We do not knowingly accept waitlist signups from people in this age group without that confirmation.
Where a waitlist member is under 16, we limit our contact to email updates. We will not contact under-16s by phone or SMS.
If you are a parent or guardian and would like to access, correct or delete your child's information, or withdraw consent for them to remain on the waitlist, please contact us at team@neylo.com.au and we will action your request promptly.
When the Neylo platform launches, it will include dedicated protections and consent processes for users under 16, consistent with Australian law, including the Children's Online Privacy Code.
6. Who can access your information
Access to waitlist information is limited to Neylo's founders. We do not provide access to contractors, interns or any other personnel.
We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Service providers and overseas storage
We use a small number of reputable service providers to operate the waitlist. Your information is stored and processed by:
Tally, which hosts our signup form
MailerLite, which stores our waitlist and sends our email updates
Framer, which hosts our website
Google Workspace, which we use for business email and internal administration
These providers may store and process information on servers located outside Australia, including in the European Union and the United States. Where information is stored overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a manner consistent with this policy and with Australian privacy law.
8. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. These steps include restricting access to the founding team, using established service providers with their own security and compliance programs, and securing the accounts through which waitlist data is accessed.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we treat the protection of your information as a priority and will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner of any data breach where required by law.
9. How long we keep your information
We retain waitlist information until the launch of the Neylo platform, and for a reasonable period afterwards to complete the transition described in section 4. If you ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time, we will delete your information from our active records.
10. Your choices and rights
You may at any time:
Unsubscribe from emails, using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send
Opt out of phone or SMS contact, by replying STOP to any SMS, telling us during a call, or emailing us
Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete
Request deletion of your information and removal from the waitlist
To make any request, contact us at team@neylo.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for making a request.
11. Waitlist members outside Australia
The waitlist is focused on Australia, but people located overseas are welcome to join. If you are located outside Australia, your information will be handled in accordance with this policy and Australian privacy law. By joining the waitlist, you acknowledge that your information will be stored with the service providers described in section 7.
12. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at team@neylo.com.au. We take complaints seriously and will investigate and respond promptly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our tools, practices or the law. The current version will always be available on our website, with the date of the most recent update shown at the top. If we make a material change to how we handle your information, we will notify you by email.
